Reporting from the Imaginate Children's Theatre Festival in Edinburgh

Wednesday 12th May

First Report…

First report from the Imaginate Children’s Theatre Festival in Edinburgh – the best way to catch up with shows and colleagues from around the world.  Two shows so far.  First, the delicate, impish genius of Shona Reppe’s Cinderella, table top puppetry of invention and character.  The ugly sisters as a pair of satin gloves?  Of course.  And then Chit-chat, a dance two-hander from France testing the expressive possibilities of different parts of the body.  The duet to bird calls was my favourite.

Two down, twelve to go.  Can’t wait.
