Prince's Foundation day

Tuesday 2nd February

Carly and I have had a day at the Photographer’s Gallery in London run by the Prince’s Foundation for Children and the Arts. It was for all the organisations receiving grants from the Foundation’s Start programme – set up to give children who would never normally have the chance, an opportunity to experience the arts. It was a day to share experiences, difficulties and successes. And what a good mix of organisations there were to share ideas with – including The Egg (Bath’s purpose built theatre for children and young people), Salisbury Arts Centre, The Ikon Gallery in Birmingham, Arts Depot in North London, The Fitzwilliam Museum in Cambridge, Brighton Dome – all, like Warwick Arts Centre, running projects giving children and young people enhanced access to the arts and arts venues across a range of artforms. Great to be part of such a creative network!
