Following several sell-out UK tours and best-selling stand-up DVDs, multi-award winning welsh wonder Rhod Gilbert is back on the road with a brand new live show. A regular on Live At The Apollo and with his own BBC One show Ask Rhod Gilbert, he’s one of the world’s hottest comedians.

His stand-up rants on life’s minor irritations are legendary, but this year, he’s a more mellow fellow altogether. He’s now so laid-back he even let someone tattoo a Battenberg on him. Will the new, chilled-out Rhod get his girl and live happily ever after, or will it be microwaved baked potato for one again? Could it be the Mr Angry of comedy as you’ve never seen him before?

“One of the best comedians anywhere in the world” Time Out

  • Hello Eliza,

Many thanks for your comment. We have wheelchair access and wheelchair seating in various sections of the Butterworth Hall. It's best to book your tickets over the phone or counter with a member of the Box Office team so that they can talk you through the options. The number is 024 7652 4524.

  • Is there any age restriction?

  • Dear Melanie,

There is no restriction as such though I alert you to the message posted above that 'some comedians use strong language and express controversial opinions' so please do think carefully about whether to bring an under 16 along - this is ultimately the responsibility of the parent or guardian. Live shows are an unknown quantity so we can't offer any definitive advice I'm afraid.

I hope this helps. If you would like to speak to someone, our Box Office can be contacted on 024 7652 4524.

    Best wishes,

  • In response to Lyn: We have an infra-red system in the Butterworth Hall. When you arrive, ask at the Box Office for the hearing aid enhancer. There are two kinds, one to use with your hearing aid, or one that can be used without hearing aids. I hope this helps your son.

  • Hi,
If people cant make the Rhod Gilbert show, do their tickets come available? If so how do you buy them? Cheers

Richard Matthews at 7:39pm on Sun 14th Oct 2012

  • Hi Richard,

People can return their tickets to Box Office for resale if they are unable to make a show, at which point we start contacting people on the waiting list. To be added to the waiting list, call the Box Office on 024 7652 4524, and one of our team will take your details and get back to you should a ticket become available.

I hope that helps to answer your query.

    Best wishes,
