I have this little sister Lola She is small and very funny…
Don’t miss everyone’s favourite brother and sister, Charlie and Lola, in their extremely everso wonderful stage show! The stars of the hit BBC TV series and books by Lauren Child are brought to life by a magical mix of puppets, live action and music.
Will Charlie ever get Lola to sleep, even though she is not sleepy and will not go to bed? It won’t be easy – the Tigers want their bedtime milk, the Dancing Dogs have borrowed Lola’s pyjamas and Lola thinks there is an ogre hiding in the wardrobe!
“If you’ve got kids, go and see Charlie and Lola’s Best Bestest Play. If you haven’t, borrow some and go anyway… it’s a genuine delight” Sunday Express

I would like to know how you can seriously charge children £9.75 to see this play. I'm quite prepared to pay the adult fee, but what about half-price for children? If it was priced sensibly, I could afford to take my grandchildren. At those ridiculous prices? No chance!
John Everiss at 8:30am on Tue 13th Dec 2011
Dear Mr Everiss,
Thank you for your comment. We give a lot of thought to our pricing and try to ensure that visits to see our shows are as accessible as possible for families. We have made the decision to keep the adult price as low as possible with a smaller reduction for children and if we did offer half price tickets for children we would need to increase our adult prices. Overall our prices are at least on a par, if not lower than other family shows in the region.
We value our family audiences and encourage parents and grandparents to bring young people to engage with and participate in arts activities at Warwick Arts Centre. We provide a full programme of events throughout the year, often with children's tickets at significantly discounted rates.
I do hope that you and your grandchildren can join us at Warwick Arts Centre for some of our forthcoming events.
With best wishes

Eleonora at 8:04pm on Wed 4th Jan 2012
Dear Eleonora,
Our age guidance is 3+ however it is ultimately the decision of the parent or guardian as to whether their child would be able to sit for an hour to watch the show. The show is very engaging for younger children so the content should be fine for a 2 and a half year old.
I hope this helps.
Best wishes,

I am booking several theatre trips for my son at present, and other venues in the region are charging £6 for a child ticket, £8 for an adult (Birmingham MAC, Nottingham University Arts Centre) - which I think is more reasonable. As John Everiss points out in his comment, I think your prices are high - and I am afraid it does put me off booking.

actually, i think the arts centre prices are very reasonable. We went to see Tiger who came to tea at the same prices and i was simply fabulous. Compared to the prices at the Belgrave at Christmas £35 for 1 adult and a Child would love to know what you would think about paying that much

Hi,
Are you able to provide free tickets for babies for this show?

I agree with Frank on this. We also saw The Tiger who came to Tea & it was terrific. The venue is 1st class & we're going again to see Charlie & Lola. Great value for money & a great schedule of events for kids.
