CloseA touching film set in Hong Kong, re-uniting Chinese film stars Andy Lau (House of Flying Daggers) and Deannie Yip. The film centres on Ah Tao (Yip), the Leung family’s long-standing nanny and servant. She lives with and takes care of Roger (Lau), a film producer and only member of the household still living in Hong Kong. But the dynamic of their relationship is turned upside down when Ah Tao has a stroke, and convinced that she has become a burden, insists on moving into a retirement home.
An affecting and heart-warming drama about family relationships and the need to take care of the older generation.
