Seventeen year-old Josh “J” Cody (Frecheville) lives with his single mother. She has tried to keep him away from her shady family but when she dies from a heroin overdose, the only person he can think to get in touch with is his grandmother, Janine. She welcomes him into the family with her three sons, who happen to be three quarters of an organised crime gang. J becomes trapped between an overzealous police officer (Pearce) and his family who would cheerfully sell him out to protect their own skins.

  • Hi. Why no weekend showings? Do you have plans to show this film at any other time?

    Thank you.

  • I agree!! My husband works away during the week and so will be unable to see this film. We really enjoy coming to the Art Centre and are really disappointed not to be able to see this together. Especially as it's had 'rave revenues' Film 2011! Please rethink and show at a weekend. Thanks

  • I share you frustration. I would love to be able to give the film a longer run but details of the release arose late and left me with little space into which to programme. As you are aware, I do try to offer earlier and later screenings but weekends and matinees are not always at my disposal.
I would recommend that you get to see it, if it is at all possible and its return will be dependent upon how successful it is on this run. Sadly, rave reviews do not always convert into box office sales and I find myself obliged to balance artistic excellence with financial pragmatism.
Can do better. Must try harder.
