CloseRobert Duvall gives a thunderous performance in this film about a semi-legendary 1930s hermit. Felix Bush (Duvall) is a mysterious recluse who wants to see what people really think of him. To accomplish this, he has a funeral when he is still alive, aided by unscrupulous undertaker Frank Quinn (Murray). As news of Bush’s funeral spreads it begins to drag the skeletons out of his closet, including a spurned lover (Spacek).
Duvall’s central performance is being called one of the best in his long career and with such a strong supporting cast, there’s no reason not to see it!
