Arguably the greatest of all Eric Rohmer’s films, this enduring masterpiece combines the metaphysical and the physical to witty, erotic and psychologically astute effect. Set over Christmas in Clermont-Ferrand, it focuses on an impetuous but indecisive, devoutly Catholic engineer whose determination to marry a girl he’s spotted in church is shaken when he’s introduced to a free-spirited and very desirable divorcee. This is a funny, sexy, even suspenseful drama about the necessity and the difficulty of making a choice, especially if it might shape our future.

Black and white film with sub titles, incredibly dull and long winded, hard work and not at all funny or entertaining. I didn't find the description related to the film -' we couldn't wait for it to finish.
