Fierce presents some of the most explosive new performance talent from across the globe. Set to ignite imaginations, uncover fresh perspectives and force a smile at moments of mischief. Visit Fierce Festival website for more information.
In January 2007 the British press reported another attempt to foil a terrorist threat - a group trying to make an explosive device using chapatti flour, the central ingredient of Indian bread. The Great British love affair with Indian food had taken on a whole new meaning this time around. As Jiva unpacks his rucksack and cooks chapattis he explores one of the most pressing concerns of our time.
Necessary Journeys is the true story of a young Asian man applying for a visa to travel to the US. A performance lecture that is both heartbreaking and humorous. In this double bill Jiva responds to the threat of terrorism, anti-terrorism and its effect on his life and identity.
