by William Shakespeare

Special Performance Tent on Tocil Field (opposite car park 7)

Footsbarn return to Warwick Arts Centre with their much acclaimed production of A Midsummer Night's Dream revived for the first time in nearly 15 years. Celebrate midsummer with this highly entertaining, magical and musical interpretation of one of Shakespeare's best-loved plays.

"Footsbarn's carnivalesque production of A Midsummer Night's Dream is a world unto itself. Footsbarn, indeed, is a theatre festival unto itself, a wonderfully eclectic mixture of styles and influences, of nationalities and cultures, all melded into a seamlessly fluid torrent of pure theatre." The Irish Times

Footsbarn Travelling Theatre is one of the world's leading touring companies performing for the most part in one of its circus big tops but also in theatres throughout the world. Renowned for its exciting adaptations of classics such as Shakespeare and Moliere, Footsbarn transcends the barrier of language with its unique blend of visual theatre, music and magic.

In 35 years Footsbarn has produced nearly 60 plays, travelling the world over and is truly a multi-national group. The actors possess a multiplicity of talents and theatrical techniques all of which inhabit and enrich every performance.

"... once you are squeezed on a bench inside their circus tent you feel safely enclosed in a separate world. Footsbarn builds on this from the start, skilfully creating a self-contained, magical world." The Independent
