Trevor Goose and His Dark Night of Lights - Talking Birds
Is it a gig? Is it a summer panto? Is it a misjudged Danish cabaret? Well it's all three in this recreation of the bleak, yet moving, tale of The Little Match Girl. Thwarted at every turn by internal difficulties with the bank - Hans Christian and the Andersons - as well as with a Danish tourism officer and a missing celebrity, the show boasts a line-up of top-flight musicians who attempt to get through the evening on reckless emotion alone.
Talking Birds is a Coventry-based theatre company who, for the last fifteen years, have been making highly charged theatre shows.
Intimate History Into The Night... - Jake Oldershaw
Experience the world premiere of a cabaret version of Intimate History with some new songs (some maybe only hours old when you hear them), new faces (yours) and an event inspired by the spirit of Tom Waits and Jacques Brel, the delight of a good drink, and the need to share good stories, good company and good times.
Bite-Size is a day long festival of performances by the freshest home-grown talent from around the West Midlands - an opportunity to sample bite-sized pieces of some of the best new work around from Kindle Theatre, Spanner, The Other Way Works, The Plasticine Men, Jane Packman, HamFisted!, Talking Birds and Jake Oldershaw.
