Contemporary Music
Nizlopi
with Vijay Kishore
Sorry, this event is either not on sale yet or has been and gone.Theatre
Nizlopi are Luke Concannon and John Parker, two friends from Leamington Spa who have been writing and playing music together since their early teens.
Luke handles the heartfelt lyrics, the soulful vocals and his beloved guitar, whilst JP sets jaws dropping with his masterful double-bass playing, breathtaking human beat-boxing and some exquisite guitar playing on the side. Nizlopi's aim is always to break down the barriers between performers and audiences, and their gigs are a welcome return to the electrifying experience of live music.
Opening the evening is Birmingham-based singer/songwriter Vijay Kishore whose reputation is steadily building with every gig he plays.
Despite comparisons by many to everyone from Jeff Buckley and Thom Yorke to Nusrat Fateh, Ali Khan and Freddie Mercury, Vijay has been busy defining and refining his own particular take on the highly emotive, expressive and extraordinarily soulful troubadour, fusing aspects of his western upbringing with his eastern roots.
Part of 'under the radar' -
a platform for the best independent and emerging musicians from in and around the Midlands.
