CloseJoin presenter Greg Beardsell and a host of talented choirs as the UK’s biggest choral competition, Choir of the Year, comes to Warwick Arts Centre. Singers of all ages will take the stage in attempt to impress a panel of expert judges and be voted through to the semi-finals.
There is something for all tastes with everything from Bach to Barbershop, Gospel choirs to Glee clubs, with plenty of opportunity for audience members to exercise their vocal cords too. From more than 150 choirs auditioning around the UK, only six will make it to the Grand Final in November 2012, broadcast on BBC television and radio. Butterworth Hall
With a maximum capacity of 2000 standing or 1500 seated this concert hall has an outstanding natural acoustic and is the home of our International Concert Series, as well as the majority of our music gigs and big name comedians. Butterworth Hall has recently had a £6.9 million redevelopment and reopened in autumn 2009 .
