Maddy Prior & The Carnival Band
Carols and Capers 2010
Fri 3 Dec 2010 8pm
Butterwoth Hall: £18.50 (£16.50)
Musicians: Maddy Prior & The Carnival Band
A unique celebratory show of Christmas music. Renowned folk singer Maddy Prior joins up once again with the Carnival Band, who mix renaissance, modern and ethnic instruments with a refreshing cavalier attitude and plenty of humour.
Together they put their inimitable stamp on a range of familiar and not-so-familiar festive fare, from favourites like The Holly and the Ivy and I Saw Three Ships to secular carols such as The Boar’s Head, dance tunes, and specially composed songs from their latest album.

I have just tried again to go on line to book tickets for the WAC. I give up and will resort to good old BT as you do not make your site in the small way user friendly

I can't get any tickets out of it either.

I agree, the web site booking system is a nightmare, and to add insult to injury they charge a booking fee to use it. I thought the point was to reduce their box office costs by making the customer do the job for them - but not with this site!

Thank you all for your comments. I'm sorry you've encountered these problems online.
Due to increases in security requirements which now apply to small scale organisations, we have recently had to upgrade our booking system. These measures are to protect the security of our customers, but we do recognise and appreciate the frustration that may have been caused.
Since these comments were posted, changes have been made which should alleviate these issues.
Tickets are still available for Maddy's fantastic show, so however you choose to book, you won't be disappointed!

Why go at all? If there are a group of three seats and you only require two you are not allowed to book ie leaving a single seat! There must be single people who want to attend, do they have to book more seats?

Hi there
The system is set up this way to ensure that for busy performances we are not left with lots of single seats - which would then mean that that groups of 2 or more people wishing to book would have to sit separately.
If there are specific seats that you would like to book - please call the Box Office on 024 7652 4524 and they can book those seats for you.
With best wishes
