Ojos de Brujo 2009
with La Troba Kung Fu
Fri 27 Nov 2009 8pm
Butterworth Hall: £18.50 (£16.50)
The Barcelona’s hip hop flamenkillo collective play their first tour in the UK since 2007 and give the live premiere to tracks from their new album Aocaná.
“Driven relentlessly by frenetic percussion this is music that can’t fail to move you; live, the impressive presence of the dramatically coiffed Marina and her large band of musicians, video projections, a whirling light show and a beatboxer/flamenco dancer face-off make for an evening of passion and spectacle.” Metro
“An elemental force: a caravan of colour, sound and movement.” Straight No Chaser

Good to see you've got Ojos de Brujo coming to WAC. Although I've never seen them live, I love their music and am looking forward to coming and seeing them perform. Do you have any special offers for things like this? I'm really loving the new website too. Keep up the good work WAC!

I do not understand why this is seated only; who wants to stay seated to fantastic music like this? It would be nice if there was a choice of seated/standing.

Hi Raquel
Thanks for your comment - I'm pleased to say that we do have an area for standing at this gig. When you go through the online booking process, at the point where you select where you would like to sit (stand in this case) - there is an option for standing - which then brings up a general admission screen for you to book the number of tickets you would like in that area.
I hope you have a fantastic time at the gig.
Best wishes

Wasnt Mexican Institute Of Sound the original supporting act?... i was really excited in seeing him as well, what happened?
Chris at 2:06pm on Wed 25th Nov 2009
Hi Chris
You're right, Mexican Institute of Sound was originally billed as the support. Unfortunately, due to contractual difficulties he withdrew from the tour but has been replaced by La Troba Kung Fu - who I'm sure will be equally fantastic.
Enjoy the gig!
