Warwick University’s brightest and most talented musicians will be coming together to present a montage of explosive colour and unforgettable sounds.
Prepare for a musical journey across countries and continents, witnessing an insight into the musical cultures that span our global community.
This year, the World Music Concert is an ambitious two-hour, heart-thrilling collaboration of musical performance, adopting influences from genres and cultures from all over the world and fusing them to create a new harmony of music; a new language – The Language of Music with performances by the eclectic One World Week World Music Ensemble, Drumestra and the Chamber Choir plus an external guest performance by Bluey Robinson.
Butterworth Hall
With a maximum capacity of 2000 standing or 1500 seated this concert hall has an outstanding natural acoustic and is the home of our International Concert Series, as well as the majority of our music gigs and big name comedians. Butterworth Hall has recently had a £6.9 million redevelopment and reopened in autumn 2009 .
