World Music Concert 2011 : From Dawn ‘Til Dusk
The World Music Concert is a fusion of musical traditions from around the globe performed by the brilliantly talented musicians from Warwick University. Packed into a two-hour colourful extravaganza, this event highlights a dynamic journey through the universal language of music.
The theme of Dawn ‘til Dusk will take you on a trip and emphasise the way in which world music unifies people. The show fuses different blends of harmonies and colours to create an experience that takes the listener through a passage of day while accentuating the diversity of global sounds and the various ambience they provide.
The concert has featured some of the biggest names in music, including Grammy-winning hip hop violinist Miri Ben-Ari and R&B singer Bluey Robinson. This year, Salute to the Wailers will make a special guest appearance, bringing a whole new meaning to musical concord.
Doors open at 7pm, show begins at 7.30pm.
