Warwick Arts Centre is excited to host Spiritualized this Autumn – especially given their local ties as the band was formed in the local town of Rugby. Frontman Jason Pierce (who also goes by the name of J.Spaceman) says:
“The thread that runs through all Spiritualized albums is that I am obsessed with music and the way we put it together. And if I have learned one thing in all the time I have been making music, it is that there are no rules.” JP
Their latest album Sweet Heart Sweet Light entered straight into the UK Top 20 and has received critical acclaim:
‘All the drama, heartache, torment and redemption you could ever want is right there in the music itself.’ NME
‘This album deserves to convert further listeners. It’s bruised and tender yet genuinely radiant.’ Metro
‘It’s as joyous an affirmation that far from losing his emotion, he’s as engaged as ever with the sheer visceral thrill of music.’ The Independent
Support on the night comes from Roy and the Devil’s Motorcycle.
