Singer-songwriters Joy Williams and John Paul White are The Civil Wars, a Grammy award-winning duo hailing from California and Alabama respectively. The band’s debut album Barton Hollow has received public and critical acclaim, with the duo winning Best Folk Album and Best Country Duo/Group Performance at this year’s Grammy Awards.

Butterworth Hall
With a maximum capacity of 2000 standing or 1500 seated this concert hall has an outstanding natural acoustic and is the home of our International Concert Series, as well as the majority of our music gigs and big name comedians. Butterworth Hall has recently had a £6.9 million redevelopment and reopened in autumn 2009 .

Saw them this week at the HMV Institute in Birmingham. Gig of the Year. Absolutely spellbinding. They will move your soul!!
