Noke Lick Masheen is the amorphous ‘masheen’ that combines fresh original grooves with old favourites from the musical shelf to produce the infectiously funky, upbeat live band that leaves nothing but dancing feet and feelgood smiles in its wake.
Hailing from Leamington Spa in the midlands, this six-piece funk and soul band have gained a reputation for their high-energy and up-beat live shows. With a varied repertoire that brings together styles ranging from dub, reggae and breakbeat all the way through to gypsy jazz and straight-ahead funk, their unique blend of sounds has heads nodding and feet tapping within minutes of them taking the stage.
Following the release of their debut EP in November 2011, Noke have been performing up and down the country supporting the likes of Yes Sir Boss!!! and Submotion Orchestra.
