Under the Radar: The Swaps
with support from The Society
Fri 25 Jan 2013 7.45pm
Studio £7.50 (£6)
Consisting of a remarkable singer, a slippery rhythm section, a blues harpist and a guitarist, The Swaps play hard-rolling, funked-up, folky tunes that some would describe as a kind of blues, as well as electro-acoustic waltzes, pop wig-outs and dubstep boogaloos, and the odd heart-wrencher. All cooked up in Leamington Spa.
Support from The Society, whose music is based on traditional English and Irish folk but with a contemporary rock feel and a mixture of electronic and acoustic instruments.

Warwick Arts Centre's intimate Studio Theatre space provides a platform for the work of emerging artists as well as many established performers from the worlds of theatre, dance and music.

Have just had a memorable evening with The Swaps, a full house and a great atmosphere. Talented group who blend together to make stomping music.
