Izzeldin Abuelaish : I Shall Not Hate
Mon 21 Feb 7.15pm
Conference Room £5 (£3)
Izzeldin Abuelaish trained as doctor with an infertility specialism and worked as a researcher in Tel Aviv. On 16th January 2009 his home was hit by Israeli shells and his three daughters and a niece were killed.
Abuelaish was interviewed moments after the attack and it is his response that made news and won him humanitarian awards all over the world. Instead of seeking revenge, he called for the people in the region to talk to each other.
I Shall Not Hate is his account of a Gazan life with all of its struggle and pain by turns inspiring and heartbreaking, hopeful and horrifying.
Dr. Abuelaish will be discussing his book and then will open the floor to questions from the audience.
