Join Hide&Seek for social games and playful experiences, where artists experiment with game design to create new ways of being together.
Hide&Seek’s Sandpit is a monthly event held in London, and now some of the best games developed over the past year are coming to Warwick Arts Centre. So whether you prefer your games solemn or silly, quiet or frantic, jubilant or paranoid, there’s bound to be something for you!
Games include:
FLAG IT UP!
A game where players are challenged to design a flag appropriate for a particular country and other players try to guess which country the flags are for.
MUSICAL!
A quick-fire game of storytelling and musical adventures – your aim is to get people to burst into song.
SPACE GAME
A game about travelling to the moon, played in pairs.
BABEL
Three teams hide objects around the playing area and then try to guide their team members to them using only the word ‘babel’.
WHALE
Several blindfolded players move around wearing an electronic hat that beeps when they are close to another object.
CLUE, DON’T
A large-scale deduction game, with murders.
HOMELY PLANET
A game where the players are challenged to document Warwick Arts Centre and its surroundings as if it were another country.
The Sandpit is open to everybody – anyone can come and play, have ideas and try out stuff. If you’ve got an idea for a game you’d like to try out at Sandpit, email us
