CloseIt Came From PILOT… an exciting double bill, taking us on a unique journey from love songs in the depths of Hades to opera on the streets of Brum. Witness the development and give your feedback in this showcase of two original pieces first premiered at a PILOT Night.
London collective The Company Project perform Don’t Look Back, a new piece of writing inspired by the myth of Orpheus and Eurydice. In this acerbic retelling we see the gatekeeper consider her own love and loss, as she aids Orpheus in his attempt to rescue his dead wife Eurydice from the Underworld.
Solo artist Greg McLaren wants to know what would happen is he were to sing everything he would normally speak. Would it be offensive? Would people look at him funny? Would anyone take him seriously? Greg has spent a week singing his way through the streets of Birmingham and in Doris Day Can F*ck off he returns to sing us the story, in a comic, sometimes moving exploration of our most daily encounters.
