The Summer House
a comedy thriller

Director: John Wright

The Summer House tells the story of how Neil, an awkward thirty-something male, drags two other thirty-something males, Will and Matthew, on a stag weekend to his summer house in the remote Icelandic countryside.
As they settle into their surroundings, they realise that everything isn’t quite as it seems. The freezing white expanse is having a strange effect on them, and it could be the drink but is that a Norse God that they see in the distance? A Viking? A raven? Or simply a ghost?
A hilarious three-hander that brings together award-winning comedians and performers Will Adamsdale, Matthew Steer and Neil Haigh for the first time. This is a play about men and all their crap, about myths and what they’re for and about the weather and how it blows all the other stuff away anyway.
“It’s likely to be an offbeat evening, and totally disrespectful of the boundaries between comedy and theatre, high and low art.” The Guardian
The Summer House is a first time collaboration between Will Adamsdale (Jackson’s Way), Neil Haigh (Cartoon de Salvo), Matthew Steer (Britain’s Best Mates) and John Wright (co-founder of Told By An Idiot and Trestle).
“Director John Wright has a wonderfully unashamed sense of theatre.” The Independent
