Illustrated Talk by Paul Harrison
Thu 7 Mar 2013, 6pm
Mead Gallery £6 (£4.50)
UK artists John Wood and Paul Harrison have been collaborating since 1993. Their work has been presented at major galleries worldwide and is held in collections including MoMA, New York; Tate, London; Centre Pompidou, Paris; and The Arts Council Collection, UK.
Through immaculately constructed video works and what they describe as ‘informative and uninformative text pieces, drawings, doodles and half thoughts, and quite useful sculptures,’ the pair explores the physical and psychological parameters of the world around them, questioning and ultimately affirming a human position in the world that is essentially positive.
For this special illustrated talk, Paul Harrison will be providing an insight into the development of their practice since 1993 up to their most recent work, including 10 × 10, shown as part of Workplace.
This event is presented in association with Coventry Contemporary Art Forum.
