Coventry grant allows Cov Cool Kids to continue

We are absolutely delighted to announce that a grant from The Coventry Childrens Fund will allow our Education Department to continue the Cov Cool Kids performing arts project for another three years! The grant of £190,000 means we can carry on bringing together artists and children from some of the most disadvantaged neighbourhoods in the City and let them make new works of art to share.

Cov Cool Kids is currently running in 21 City primary schools with 3,000 children. They are working creatively with artists in dance, theatre and music preparing for 4 big performances in the Butterworth Hall with around about 700 children in each show.

The new grant means we can work with a dozen schools altogether, with children making over 40 performances in schools and a final big bash in the Butterworth Hall in March 2011, all to share with their peers, friends and families.
