And the winner is...
Monday 08 March 2010
If you stayed up all night to watch the 82nd Annual Academy Awards or caught up on the winners and losers over your morning coffee you can’t have failed to notice that the big three film awards (BAFTAs, Golden Globes and Oscars) have now been chosen, the winners have cried, and the losers and clapped and done their best ‘losing smiles’ as the camera lingers on them.
Two of this years big winners are Kathryn Bigelow’s The Hurt Locker and Jeff Bridges in Crazy Heart – both of which can be seen here at Warwick Arts Centre. The Hurt Locker promptly sold out this week- so we’ll be rescreening in May, so don’t miss it!
Academy Awards for Best Motion Picture of the Year, Best Achievement in Directing, Best Achievement in Editing, Best Adapted Screenplay, Best Sound Editing and Mixing, BAFTAs for Best Film, Best Director, Best Adapted Screenplay, Best Cinematography, Best Editing, Best Sound.
