A great start to the week!

Monday 7th November

There’s nothing better on a cold and miserable Monday to hear that a grant application has been successful and one of your biggest projects can go ahead with a full programme of work. One of our partners in the West Midlands, Boys Dance Alliance, bid to Arts Council England for a grant to allow the Boys Dancing project fully to realise its ambitions for the coming months. And the application was successful!! So now we can go ahead and shoot the six dance films that will make up The Quiet Man Suite. Our team of 6 dance artists, led by Liam Steel (Stan Won’t Dance), 3 film makers, 3 composers, our BBC Dance Fellow, 4 dance apprentices and up to 700 lads from across the West Midlands start creative work in January with all films ready by the time of the Olympics. Just can’t wait!!
