We have had a super response for the Knit Stitch and Crochet Club, and it hasn’t even started yet!!
Lots of people want to learn how to crochet and lots of people want to come and teach them (which is good).
The thing is I think we may need more crochet hooks and knitting needles and wool, than we have for people to use. So it would be great if you could go through your cupboards and bring in any odd bits of wool that are left over from big projects, or just that you know you’re not going to use and bring them in to us. Maybe go through granny’s cupboards, (she’s probably got a lot stashed away!) and bring in what you can. We also need any knitting needles and crochet hooks that you no longer need.
We would hate for people to come to the club all excited about learning a new crafty skill, and then be disappointed if we’ve run out of wool!
Please leave any donated wool and needles/hooks at the Box Office FAO Emma O’Brien (Mead Gallery)
Thanks a bunch.

HI Catherine, as the knit club is a drop-in, we really don't know how many people will come, so please do come along, there is plenty of room in the gallery, and we can always spill out into the arts centre!
See you Thursday hopefully!

Hi, do you think there will be someone who can teach me to knit?

HI Georgi, definately, just ask the knitters, everyone is very friendly!

I would love to go and join, but am too far away, I know how to knit and crochet, but would like to make some friends in that field, and love to teach and help others in kniting and corcheting.
