Bite Size Festival 2012 - Now On Sale

Thursday 02 February 2012

This Spring we welcome the return of Bite Size Festival to Warwick Arts Centre on Sat 10 Mar – a day long showcase of new work from some of the most original and intrepid theatre-makers working today. There will be the opportunity to catch work in progress showings, ten-minute tasters of brand new theatre, and some fully formed performances.

We’re delighted to welcome Coventry-based theatre group Little Earthquake, with their work in progress show It’s Only a Paper Moon, which takes the audience on a journey to explore imaginary lunar landscapes. There’s also a thought-provoking monologue on the life of an only child from Adam Peck, and the return of Caroline Horton (following You’re Not Like The Other Girls Chrissy which appeared in Bite Size 2010 and in the 2011 Studio Programme) with her new show Mess.

As usual we welcome 10 Minute Tasters to the Bite Size programme, offering glimpses into new pieces being made in the West Midlands featuring Francesca Millican-Slater, LCB and Talking Birds (who brought Capsule to Warwick Arts Centre last year)

Headlining the day’s programme will be the new play from multi-award winning Welsh playwright Tim Price. For Once is a tale of life, love and loss in the Welsh borders, seen through a series of intertwining accounts.

We’re also offering a day pass for £30 (£28 for concessions) which allows the holder into every performance on the Bite Size programme. Day Pass Ticket Holders will also have the chance of experiencing Kindle Theatre’s Hotel du Van – an intimate dining experience for you and three guests with Minotaur on the menu. Tickets for this event are only available to Day Pass holders on the day.

Bite Size Festival 2012 is produced by China Plate, commissioned by Warwick Arts Centre and mac birmingham
