My Last Car is a creative project coming to Warwick Arts Centre this Autumn, but before then, we need your help. Everyone has a good car story- an event, a journey, a “carguement”, falling in love, getting lost, learning to drive, being scared…What’s your story? Complete this short quiz – it will only take a few minutes and you never know, you may even see your car story in the piece coming to the Helen Martin Studio later this year!
About My Last Car
It’s the product of a unique collaboration between 509 Arts, Warwick Arts Centre, Pioneer Projects in Bentham North Yorkshire and the Ryedale Folk Museum, also in North Yorkshire.
My Last Car explores the story of the motor car and all that it means to us as we come to the end of a great technological era. The internal combustion engine is a relic of the 20th Century. Our need for personal transport has outstripped the earth’s resources. We’re going to have to ask ourselves some very tough questions about the future of our beloved automobiles.
