Lovesong Writer Abi Morgan in the Press

Tuesday 19 July 2011

If you’ve been following the entertainment news recently, you will have noticed praise for Bafta award-winning writer Abi Morgan’s first-ever drama series The Hour. Revealing, entertaining and crackling with sexual frisson, The Hour takes viewers behind the scenes of a broadcast news room in London 1956 and stars Romola Garai (who was here for Three Sisters last year), Dominic West and Ben Whishaw. Watch the first episode of the series that’s already been tipped ‘Britain’s answer to Mad Men’ tonight (Tue 19 Jul) at 9pm on BBC2.

We are delighted that this acclaimed theatre and screenwriter has also written one of the shows coming to Warwick Arts Centre this Autumn. Frantic Assembly’s Lovesong is written by Abi Morgan and beautifully intertwines a couple in their 20s with the same man and woman a lifetime later.

Abi Morgan is clearly heading for great things! See her latest play at Warwick Arts Centre this October.
