Reel History is back due to popular demand!

Wednesday 05 October 2011

After the sell-out screening of Reel History we have brought it back on Sun 9 Oct. Catch it this time around and discover fascinating footage of Coventry over the past 100 years.

As part of the BBC’s Reel History season, we present a selection of newly discovered films from the Media Archive of Central England, highlighting life and events in Coventry and Warwickshire over the last 100 years. This includes a celebration of the redevelopment of Coventry, in Phoenix City from 1958; scenes from village life in Radford Semele in 1952; the visit of Princess Elizabeth; the opening of the Belgrade Theatre; and the destruction of the Festival Theatre in Stratford; along with Talking Birds’ fascinating documentary about the building of the Coventry ring road.

For your chance to discover this fascinating snapshot of Coventry’s past book online or call the Box Office for tickets.
