The Don't Touch Screen

Monday 26 September 2011

The windows of the former Rise shop have been transformed by Ludic Rooms into the Don’t Touch Screen to give an exciting interactive experience in our foyer.

These windows let you play with what’s behind them. Try moving, try being still. Try a finger, an arm, your whole body.

Explore the hiding places between the analogue and the digital.

But don’t touch.

Created by local digital artists Dom Breadmore and Ash Brown of Ludic Rooms and commissioned by Warwick Arts Centre, the new Don’t Touch Screen adds a whole colourful new dimension to any entry or exit to a visit to our venue. Both Ludic Rooms artists have close associations with Warwick Arts Centre; Dom due to his educational work with young people on Make it Reel, our young film-maker project, and regular visitors may remember Ash as the former manager of Rise, the foyer music store. Dom and Ash even met in Warwick Arts Centre back in 2009, which makes their return here even more significant!

Take a look at the video below – or why not pop in and have a go yourself?
