What happens to the programme whilst the redevelopment is taking place?
Throughout the redevelopment we will be running a full programme of events – theatre, dance, circus, comedy, music, classical music and family events – in fact everything you are used to seeing at Warwick Arts Centre. You will see some changes to the foyer areas and Box Office, but our Duty Managers, Stewards and Welcome Guides are all on hand to help and explain any changes and help with your queries.

Will the Café Bar be open?
There will be food and drink available throughout the period. Our Cafe Bar is now located by the Music Centre entrance (formerly the site of Le Gusta Restaurant). When the new development is completed at the end of 2020 there will be an extensive new café and brasserie of superb quality and range. The foyers will be extensively improved with more opportunities to encounter art.

What will be happening to the Mead Gallery from Oct 2018 to Oct 2020?
The Mead Gallery will be closed from Summer 2018 – October 2020 as part of the redevelopment programme. During this period there will be opportunities to experience art on campus through the University Art Collection and the University Sculpture Trail. An exciting visual arts programme is being planned to take exhibitions out across campus – further details and updates can be found on the Mead Gallery pages of the website.

What will happen to the cinema and film programme during the Warwick 20:20 Project?
The cinema will be closed from September 2018 until late 2020 when the new building re-opens. We are in the process of building three new cinemas, which will accommodate from 60 to 220 people. We will be able to programme a wider range of films, digital screenings and other related activity and planning is now underway. In the meantime a selection of digital screenings of theatre and opera events will take place in our Theatre. Keep an eye on these pages for updates about progress.

Will bar facilities be available throughout?
The Cafe Bar will continue to serve a range of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages throughout the period. There will also be pop-up bars both upstairs (outside the Theatre) and downstairs in the foyer from 2019 – 2020 at peak times.

Will there be any disruption to parking and travelling around campus?
From Spring 2019 there will be disruption to car parks and changes to road layouts across the University of Warwick campus. We urge all bookers to arrive on campus as early as you can and use the variety of car parks on campus. All bookers will be emailed the week before the event with reminders and updates – please ensure that you provide your email address when booking. In April 2019 Car Park 7 will be demolished. The nearest car parks to the Arts Centre will be Car Park 8 (5-6 mins away) and Car Park 6 at the bottom of Health Centre Road (5 mins away). Car Park 15, just behind the new Lord Bhattacharyya Building, is 10 mins walk away. Car parking is FREE after 6pm and at weekends and Bank Holidays.

Access onto campus by car will be from the bottom of Gibbet Hill Road, opposite the Scarman roundabout.

The bus interchange and taxi rank remains adjacent to the Arts Centre. If you are arriving by coach or minibus, please inform Box Office in advance and instructions will be given about drop-off and parking.

There are a number of Blue Badge parking spaces behind Senate House which will be available on a first come first served basis, and additional spaces will be provided on busy nights on Heath Centre Road. Please let Box Office know if you have any further questions. Parking is always free in a Blue Badge space.

When is Box Office open?
The Box Office will be open Monday to Saturday from 10am – 6pm or ½ hour after the start of the final performance. On Sundays Box Office is open 1 hour before start of first performance until half an hour after start of the final performance. During the project we have a smaller counter so in order to avoid queues, please use the print at home ticket option or ask for your tickets to be posted to you in advance. Online booking is available 24 hours a day.
