Clare Woods has used enamel paint, and more recently oil paint in her work. She applies this onto aluminium panels prepared with a gesso base. The flat and smooth surface of the metal combined with the wet and oily consistency of the paint helps to create long and fluid looking brush strokes.
In response to this, we want you to take photographs of materials interacting with each other in interesting or surprising ways. Our favorite entry, chosen by our Mead Gallery Curators, will win a Reality Dimmed exhibition catalogue. The winner will be announced on Mon 26 Feb.
All entries will be on show in the Mead Gallery’s Creative Space from Wed 28 Feb until the exhibition closes on Sat 12 Mar.
