Hundreds of families brought the sunshine inside at Warwick Arts Centre on Sun 2 Jun for our Sunday Funday – enjoying theatre and poetry, watching classic family films, playing sport and picnicking outside. In the Mead Gallery, brand new “Superplants” were designed and robots brought to life, whilst the Theatre Bar was transformed into a meadow of paper flowers – all to the soundtrack of live music from Professor Squeezyjig and Surinder Sandhu & Haldin.
Characters from Room on the Broom, our upcoming Christmas show, were on hand to show visitors around and help them on their Star Hunt around the building, and staff from Le Gusta restaurant had the difficult but delicious task of picking a winner of our bake-off competition – Louis and his mum Louisa went home with our star prize of tickets to Complicite’s Lionboy show, plus the trilogy of Zizou Corder’s books!
You can find photos of the highlights of the day in the gallery on the right hand side. There’s plenty more family events coming up at Warwick Arts Centre – including dancing varmints, singing sock puppets and talking cats! Check out our full family listings online.
