Make it Reel 2013: Online Screening

Posted on

From Mon 12 – Fri 16 Aug, Warwick Arts Centre was taken over by a group of aspiring filmmakers, as Dominic Breadmore and Jon Randle returned with Make it Reel 2013; a summer film week in which young people get the chance to make, produce and star in their own five minute short film.

After the glitzy World Premiere in our cinema (complete with a home-made red carpet), we’re proud to present the five completed short films online, made entirely over the course of the week. Grab your popcorn and hit play!

Death of the Doughnut

A comedy short about one man who finds himself on the run from the law following a cake-based catastrophe…

Stage Fright

Something sinister lurks in the shadows of an old, haunted theatre…

Change

The story of what happens when a twist of fate causes two very different people to swap lives…

Not to Blame

Crime thriller about a man falsely accused of murder…

The Symbol

Found footage horror following three friends trapped in a school building…

Besides these fantastic short films, the groups also made trailers for the big films, which you can watch on YouTube, as well as a series of ‘microshort’ films that were made as part of the learning process over the week – check them out below!
