This Sunday (30 Oct 2016) Warwick Arts Centre, along with the University of Warwick SU and a host of student societies will be celebrating Diwali.
From 4pm – 6pm there will be wonderful performances from Bhangra Society, Gaana Dance, Indian Classical Dance, Krishna Consciousness Society, Bollywood Dance Society and Warwick Indian Music Ensemble.
In addition, the Sikh Soc, Tamil Soc, ASOC, Hindu Soc will all be hosting stalls with a range fun activities such as rangoli filling, dance taster sessions and the chance to dress up in traditional Indian clothes. Don’t forget to tag #Diwaliatwarwick when you upload pictures of yourselves!
Warwick Arts Centre will be serving delicious authentic Indian food.
The following items will be at £2 each or 3 for £5: – Vegetable samosas (Large) – Vegetable Spring Rolls (Large) – Dhal Kachuri (Large) – Sweets (burfi, jalebi, Gulab Jambu)
Following this event, the highly acclaimed Indian classical dancer Aditi Mangaldas will perform their high octane show entitled Inter-rupted. THe performance features the ancient art of Kathak with 21st Century soun, rhythm and light. THe performance will take place in Warwick Arts Centre’s Theatre.
