Back at the beginning of November the very talented Cindy Lymbery, from Pure Botanics, hosted one of our Warwick Masterclasses. Festive Flowers was incredibly popular and the feedback we had was brilliant. Here, Cindy talks us through the day.
We had another sell out Masterclass at the Warwick Arts Centre, everyone got in the festive spirit creating fabulous Christmas flower decorations. This is the third time that I’ve presented a workshop at this venue; it’s such as wonderful environment to learn new skills.
The first creation for the day was a Christmas door wreath featuring red roses and ilex berries. Everyone produced amazing results with a beautiful wreath to take home.
After lunch we set about creating a floral centrepiece featuring white gerberas, stocks, gypsophilia, daisies and seasonal foliage. The course concentrates on learning floristry skills as well as taking home three beautiful flower arrangements and having fun.
The day finished by creating a unique glass bauble arrangement featuring a gold cymbidium orchid with red rose buds and ilex berries
Here’s some feedback from the lovely folk that came along to the Warwick Masterclass: Festive Flowers:
“The course leader was really excellent – really well organised and on hand. Content was engaging and stretching. Practical tasks were joyful to complete. The best thing I’ve done in years.”
“Cindy was brilliant yet again! Gorgeous flowers provided.”
“I have really enjoyed the day and was very impressed by the tutor.”
The good news is that Cindy is back in the New Year with a Warwick Masterclass: Burst into Spring, which takes place on Sun 9 Apr 2017. More information can be found here.
