As soon as it’s safe to, we’ll be reviving this programme of ensemble performances - building confidence, developing teamwork skills, and helping to nurture a passion for art.
While we may be on pause at the moment, if you’re interested in being part of a future youth theatre programme, you can still send us your details through our contact form.
What to expect
We work as one team, creating big group productions that involve young people both on stage and behind the scenes. There are no auditions: everyone’s welcome to take part, whatever level of skills or experience they have.
The programme is delivered through a mix of games, drama exercises, improvisation, script work and performance. Depending on the group, we might incorporate music and dance elements too.
Each term there’s a chance for Youth Theatre members to see live productions hosted at the Centre - or to premiere their very own original productions to friends and family, using one of our professional stages.
The aim is always to make the experience fun, inspiring and challenging. Because joining a Youth Theatre production doesn’t just develop practical drama skills: it’s a great way to boost confidence, develop listening skills, and foster respect and empathy for others. We ensure there’s a safe and sustainable environment for young people to seize this chance to learn, grow and have fun together.
