It’s 2015. Julieta is a 55 year old teacher. She writes a long letter to her daughter Antía, explaining the secrets she has kept from her over the last 30 years. But when she finishes her confession she doesn’t know where to post it to, because they have been estranged since Antía left her at the age of 18.

Based on three short stories by the Nobel Prize-winning author Alice Munro, Almodóvar creates his best film in a decade. With his own characteristic melodramatic style he creates an eloquent and richly resonant film covering the emotional terrain and interior lives of women.
