Come and spend a day taking photos with other people who share a love of photography and learn how to use photography to enhance your health and wellbeing. Tutor Kate Green will share personal experience and tips on how photography has helped improve her own wellbeing and that of the many different groups that she works with.
This one-day course is a chance for anyone who loves photography to spend a day with like-minded people. It’s as much about socialising with other photography enthusiasts developing your interest and skills. You will spend part of the day out and about around Warwick Arts Centre taking notice of the surroundings and capturing them through photographs.
You will be able to practice taking landscape and portrait photographs so be prepared to have your picture taken! Kate will be on hand to offer guidance and support, honing your skills and introducing new techniques to shoot great images and learn how photography may help with your own wellbeing.
You will need a camera that allows you to shoot in manual mode (allowing you to adjust the shutter speed and aperture) and be familiar with how to adjust the settings yourself on your camera. If you have a laptop or tablet that you use for processing your images it would be helpful, but not essential, for you to bring this and any connecting cables or card readers along too.
