Elder's Dance:  Out of Whack

Out of Whack is an Elders Dance Company for people aged 60+ who share a love of contemporary dance and performing! The classes are creatively challenging and inspiring, building on one another, leading to the creation of new dance pieces for public performance.

Out of Whack takes inspiration from other elders’ dance companies, such as Sadler’s Wells Company of Elders. The company’s ambition is to continue to grow an Elder’s Dance Network in the Midlands that can join with the growing movement of elders’ dance companies coming together across the UK.  

With performances at Warwick Arts Centre and throughout the Midlands already planned, the goal for 2024 is to perform at Elder’s Dance festivals nationally.  

Subscriptions:

The fee for each season is £75 and acts more like a ‘subscription’ to the company. This pays for sessions across 10 weeks and the performance opportunities too.  

Taster Session: New starters can attend a taster session on the first week of the Autumn and Spring terms to see if this company is the right fit before officially joining in the second week and paying for the term.  

Booking: 

Returning members can book their space by contacting Box Office on 024 7649 6000. New members will be able to do the same in the second week of term.

Commitment: 

All members will need to be committed to attending the weekly sessions and performances to ensure a quality experience for themselves but also for the other members of the company. 

Although sickness and life does get in the way sometimes so there is some flexibility. We are asking that if members of the company subscribe for a season, they do try to prioritise the sessions and performances.
