Not having written a book for a few years and feeling restless, Bill Bryson, famed travel writer, leaves London and decides to walk the Appalachian Trail, which spans more than 2,000 miles and touches 14 states. The peace and tranquility he hopes to find, though, is anything but, once he agrees to be joined by his long lost former friend Katz.

With opposite understandings of ‘adventure’ this comedy looks at ageing and mortality from a fresh perspective and with an overwhelming panoramic view of the mountains.
