This panel debate will consider the future of medicine as we look ahead to the next 50 years of the University of Warwick. What challenges will the future doctor face? What will the role of the future doctor be? How will technology alter the nature of health care provision and those people that work within it, and what’s the prognosis for the patient?

Professor Richard Smith CBE – Doctor, Honorary Professor. He is director of the Ovations initiative to combat chronic disease in the developing world. He is also Chairman of the Board of Directors of Patients Know Best.
