Returning to the questions of ageing that consumed his Oscar-winning The Great Beauty, Paolo Sorrentino’s Youth assembles a stellar cast in a Swiss health spa.

Michael Caine plays an apathetic retired composer and conductor now living a life of dissolution and alongside Rachel Weisz who plays his daughter and PA. They are joined by a jobless Hollywood star (Paul DanoLove and Mercy) and procrastinating film director Mick Boyle (Harvey KeitelThe Grand Budapest Hotel). A mix of melancholy and nostalgia surrounds the film’s leads – as they reflect on their years gone by and the women they could or couldn’t have had.
