Alma’s (Anna Castillo) family have been producing olive oil from their grove of olive trees in Spain’s Castellon province for centuries.
A downturn in the economy has seen them move into poultry farming and force the sale of their 2000 year old olive tree. Devastated at the sale, Alma’s elderly and ailing grandfather Ramon (Manuel Cucala) refuses to speak. Determined that he sees his beloved olive tree again, Alma tracks it down to a bank’s headquarters in Dusseldorf and begins her quest to bring it home.
