Nathan (Valois) is a young, HIV-negative man who joins AIDS activist group ACT UP in 1990s Paris. There, he discovers that some members want a more radical approach to their protests, whilst the more conservative amongst them fear the rebels are undermining their message. Caught between the two sides, Nathan begins a relationship with the militant, HIV-positive Sean (Biscayart). Told with passion and style, 120 Beats per Minute is full of urgency and heart.
